EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES |
Pinellas Park High School offers over 50 extra-curricular activities, including opportunities for students to play many types of competitive sports. Pinellas Park High has achieved district and state championships in football, basketball, track, soccer, swimming, wrestling, track, and baseball. A large population of the student body participates in an extra-curricular activity.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS
National Honor Society Tutoring
National Honor Society students (juniors and seniors with GPA’s above 3.5) provide tutoring on a regular basis for most subjects/all grade levels. This is a drop-in service, no sign-up is required.
Science Honor Society Tutoring
Science Honor Society students (juniors and seniors with GPAs above 3.5 in science/3.0 overall) provide tutoring after school focusing on science courses but for other subjects as well. This is a drop-in service, no sign-up is required.
French Honor Society Tutoring
French Honor Society students (grades 10-12 with a 4.0 GPA in French) provide tutoring after school focusing on French. Sign-up is requested.
Math Tutoring
The math department offers algebra tutoring, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; this is paid out of county algebra remediation funds. FCAT tutoring is also available. Individual teachers also offer math tutoring.
English Tutoring
The English department offers FCAT tutoring; this is paid out of county English funds.
YES-SECME – Youth Engineering Society
The Enrichment program is for any capable student grades 6-12. The objective of the program is to increase the participation of underrepresented minorities in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering. The group meets from September through May on Saturday mornings from 9:00 until noon. Students’ work with certified mathematics and science instructors who enrich the students’ competencies. Volunteer engineers work with the students on engineering design projects.

Ø We are a competitive corps style band.
Ø We have winds, percussion, and an auxiliary.
Ø We play at every football game, whether it is home or away.
Ø We will compete in three competitions.
Ø We will take part in the Florida Bandmasters marching evaluation at Clearwater High School.
Ø We will perform in four parades, Pinellas Park Christmas Parade, St. Peter Lions Club Parade, MLK Parade and the Festival of State Parade.
Ø We have a professional instructional staff.
Ø We have a very, very, very, very dedicated group of students.
Ø We have tons of FUN doing this.
During the School Year we rehearse Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The phone number for the band room is 530-9584.
